selfless love

i knew her since i was a kid.... i remember the day she married my neighbour n came to my building with hopes of living happy ever after.... i guess this is what every new bride dreams of... a loving husband... wonderful kids... happy family... and believe me when i say this she had everything of this...

a very wonderful husband... he was my papas friend... oh we'd have lots of fun... he'd take us all to nariman point... only kids haan... n blast the music... n we'd all party out on ice cream... soft drinks... corn... chana masala... n wat not... his kids... gayatri and sagar... awww they were so cute then... we'd take them along too...

all in all we had loads of fun with him...

and one day it all ended...

it was mid-night... we were asleep at home when we heard the door bell... his mom was at the door crying... saying he had dies of heart attack...

dead!!!!!... we were all shocked... all night there were people around us... we children of the building kept his kids company... awww u should have seen their faces... they were so confused... asking whats wrong with their papa... n we didnt know wat to say... the girl atleast understood... she tried to explain to her bro... but all in all i just can't forget their faces...

n his wife... she was heart broken... such a lovely lady... i was a kid then myself... id ask God y He did this to her... she was crying all night... she didnt even have senses to see if her kids were ok... we had to call in a doctor to help her... again a very sad experience of my life...

years passed... her kids were growing... money wasn't a problem for her... quite a well off family... she started looking after their family business... looked after her kids... made them into wonderful people... well they r still kids as of now... but their maturity level is fantastic... i'd say growing up without their dad made them very mature... and understanding...

the girl is in college now... boy is still in school... and they r beautiful kids...

and now what about their mom???... what about her life???... id always wonder about that... didn't she have the right to be happy?? didn't she have the right to smile??... whenever id see her i could see the sadness in her eyes...

then life changed for her too...

some days back when i went to meet my mom i got the best news about her... she's remarrying... i was so happy for her...

she had gone to US some months back with her daugher... there her mother-in-laws nephew proposed to her... his wife had expired some years back... n he asked her if she'd marry him... ofcoz she couldn't answer then.. she had to consider her kids too... her daughter didn't mind... she called up her son... now considering he's still in school i was surprised by what he asked her... these r the precise words he told her... 'mom i don't mind if u want to remarry. but i hope no ones forcing u to marry him. i just want u to b happy.'... n i think this shows how selfless their love is for their mom...

sadly her in-laws r still against the match... they have refused... but her kids forced her to go ahead with the marriage plans... she flew off to US 3 days back... but as of now she has to keep her kids in india... school and college had to be considered... next year the boy will go off to US... i don't know what the girl has in mind.. i spoke to her yesterday about her mom... n the happiness i saw on her face and in her eyes made my cry... lol ofcoz they were tears of happiness...

i hope her mom gets her share of happiness that was denied to her all these years... i am sure she'd never forget her former husband... but as the saying goes... life has to move on... and i hope all the people who r against the match will realise this one day... n open up their orthodox minds to this world...

cheers to her n her kids... :))))... the only thing i m sad about is i couldnt meet their mom before she left... id miss her for sure...

lol i m still so overwhelmed... id just say laterzzzzz

  5. Good post m000nie…
    Thanks for sharing….

The first part actually brought tears in my eyes… but I’m happy to know that she is remarrying…
If one will think of the world and people around... then most of the times he/she will be deprived of his/her share of happiness…

I admire people who dare to be different… and follow their dreams n happiness…

    God bless her….

  6. Yup, life must go on. I don't understand what her in-laws want to prove by disallowing her to marry this guy.

  9. she has spend all these years looking after her children and family, sacrificing her own life and happiness..i guess this is the time others repay her back..by accepting her decision to remarry..
