the 000nie club

the idea of forming an '000nie club' (pronounced “oonie”) originated on arz000n’s blog. after a non-disclosed confidential conversation between musings, tanvi and arz000n, 000nie club was born in mid-2005. later threats from fellow aussie blogger keshi, found herself a position as one of the key foundation members of this auspicious club.

aim of da club

(a) to bring all like minded people who love to blog together
(b) to make new friends (read virtual family)
(c) to know and understand all the members of this club as humans and not someone who’s a virtual nobody


rules of da club

(a) Thou shall add 000nie ID’s next to display name. members are requested to add their 000nie ID’s next to their display name (uffff with so many 000nies around i don’t wanna take the pain of remembering all your 000nie names)

(b) Thou shall never use gross words in comments section. members are requested not to use gross language while commenting on others posts (we got to keep up to the mark guys)

(c) Thou shall write facts about themselves. at least one post on member’s blog should tell more about themselves (guys read aim ‘c’ above. we got to know u better). z000nie, t000nie and m000nie have tried to do this by adding 99 facts about themselves; you can start with 50 facts. if you already have such posts then do send me the link so that i can pass it on to all the 000nies.

(d) Thou shall keep foundation members updated. members are requested to keep themselves updated on the movements of this club through any of the foundation members.

(e) Thou shall not break any of the above rules. members are requested not to break any of the above rules. if anyone does so they will be punished. we have received the full rights to run after you with sebiaz sword.

(f) Thou shall use 3 zeros in ur chosen name. members are requested to use 3 zeroes (or mayb 2) instead of o's in their chosen id. ( n since i got n ultimatum from k000kie we will allow the 'n' to b replaced by any other alphabet... we can't call k000kie 'k000nie' right...hehe)

unexpected smiles :)

sometimes it so happens that people surprise us with their wonderful gestures... these r some of my best surprising moments... do share yours too...

(1) it was 2 months after my papa expired. we were all going through a rough emotional phase. my mom knew i was missing papa a lot. so she planned a surprise trip for me to dubai. my neighbor was going there for some days and mom thought i should join her and get a breather. i never knew she was planning all this. but unfortunately all her plans went haywire cause i got engaged and planned a wedding soon after :(... but it sure was a surpirse when i knew she had planned all this for me.

(2) one of my friends cousin liked me a lot. he used to call me every 15 days n propose marriage to me. but i wasn't sure i liked him that way so i would always decline. this happened some years back when he asked me out for my birthday. i would have declined but he insisted on meeting me. i didn't have the heart to decline after that so i agreed. we met at a coffee shop and he gifted me the most wonderful silver anklets i had ever seen. i didn't want to accept them. but one look at his face and i couldn't say a no to him. this is the best gift i have ever received from a friend. whenever i wear them people always ask me from where did i get them. lol what do i say????

(3) i was at my moms place some months back. whenever i go there i try to meet up most of my friends. so i called manish and asked him if we could meet up. he said he was just leaving for his office at thane for some urgent work and asked me to go along with him. i was a little skeptical because i know hes one hell of a busy guy. but he insisted and i accepted. so he picked me up and we headed for thane. we reached his office and he finished his work in half an hour. then he took me to a hill near thane called the yeour hill. (he knows i love hills n mountains). now his company maintains a 'gaushala' (cowshed) there. so we went to see that place. it was such a lovely place with all greenery around and so many cows so well kept. i sure was surprised because i didn't expect to be taken to such a lovely place. what happens when u meet an old friend?? at the most you meet them for lunch at a restaurant or for coffee or for dinner or a drink. but this was so very different for me. it was a wonderful experience and i won't ever forget it.

(4) it was mar 2001. now there was this fantastic movie 'dhadkan' that had released some months back. i had missed it and wanted to watch it. but the movie wasn't showing in any theatres around. the cd's of the movie were released but not readily available. i went in search for them at so many places but couldn't get them. i was newly engaged then. i had just mentioned to rakesh (my hubby now) that i wanted to watch this film. the next day when i got home from work i was surprised to see this cd lying on my desk and when mom told me who had sent it i was truly elated. i still don't know how he managed to get them but i really liked the effort he went through to get me one. look at me i m still smiling :) hehe

(5) i know this sounds weird but i m thankful to whoever it was who invented blogging and chatting ;) hehe... i can't imagine my regular routine day without keshis wonderful notes, tans sweet messages on my shoutmix, z00ns bizarreness, sebias sword, dewdys amazing posts and my muses 'hi good morning angel'...

love story

oh how i wish i would die like this!!!!

this is a story of mr and mrs kapasi. he was 75 and she was 71. so much in love that they never stayed away from each other. they had been married for some 51 years but never tired of each other. whereever they would go they'd be together.

this happened some 5 years back. he wasn't keeping well. nothing serious, just old age. his wife was absolutely well and used to take care of him. day and night she would look after him. never leaving his side. at nights she would stay awake just to see if he was all right. she never allowed her children to stay awake late for him. she said she was capable of looking after him and as long as she could she would help him herself. so the days passed by.

then one day he fell very ill. he had to be hospitalised. 15 days he was in the hospital. she knew it was useless now. he wasn't going to get back home. since she was so old her children did not allow her to stay in the hospital at nights. at home she would stay awake all night worrying about him.

on the 15th day she was sent home as usual. her eldest son was staying in the hospital. she was so tired and exhausted and depressed that she didn't know when she fell asleep.

she never woke up!!!

she had given up hope and had died in her sleep. her husband was never told about this because her children knew that he too would lose hope if he knew. amazingly he got well in 2 days time and he was sent home. he had to be kept in bed but he was better. now he kept asking for his wife and his children had to make n number of reasons to pacify him. no one was allowed to wear white and go in front of him. everyone had to hide their tears so that he didn't know.

some 14 days passed this way. as it is in the hindu culture after 14 days of death everyone is called home for lunch. so all relatives were invited. he was kept in a separate room so that he didn't know.

but how long could he be kept in the dark? he heard voices in the house and knew something fishy was going on. he demanded to know what it was and he had to be told. he was devastated.

from that day on he never spoke to anyone in the house. he missed her so much that he would keep on looking at her picture and cry. he did not even eat well and lost all happiness in life.

exactly one month after his wife's death he too left this world!!! maybe to be with her, maybe not.

he was my nanaji and she was my nani

what would you do????????

yesterday i came across an article about a new movie being made on karisma kapoors break-up with sanjay kapur... it just got me wondering what emotions she must be going through right now...

but i really dont want to talk about her failed marriage... everyone must have read loads of that... some true facts some false ones...

lets talk about abhishek and karisma... they were a couple for a long time... then they got engaged... and then one fine day we read that their engagement has been cancelled... so what really happened then??? ... the kapoors called off the engagement and babita was blamed for the whole episode... its made to believe that since abhisheks career wasn't taking him anywhere babita wasn't happy with the idea of karisma getting married to him...

now i got a few questions for u....

we have a much in love couple and for reasons known to all of us they dont get married... the girl gets married to another friend 'on rebound'.... a year later she gives birth to a baby girl and also gets a divorce.... now the important question... what would you do if you were in karismas place and met abhishek at some party????... n vice versa???... would you ignore him or atleast be nice and say something???.... how would you take the relationship further???... would you be able to keep yourself away from the person you love so much??? ... or would you atleast try to be friends???

i want to know this because there are a lot of other karismas and abhisheks in this world... so much in love but not together... what if karisma was still married??? .... should she atleast keep in touch with abhishek???... could they have been friends???... let me know what u think about this...

87. raj was the dumbest of us all n today he is a solicitor!!!!

88. i still remember teaching him accounts on the day of our exams

89. i m very proud of his achievements

91. 2 days before my examz i made it a point to read a novel... helped to destress... n the librarian in my college would look at me n think i had gone mad...hehe

92. we had a stereo system installed in our college library n would listen to all the latest numbers while studying (our principals idea!!)

93. our college library had subscriptions of femina, filmfare, cosmopolitan, elle... etc...

94. its been some years since i left college but i miss those days

95. we once went for a 10.30 morning movie show at streling n realised it was a 10 30 pm show ;)

96. i love staying in a joint family

97. i would want to have kids some day

98. i love being married

99. its been 4 years since i m married ;))))

i get angry when....

i go out with some of my friends and they smoke in front of me knowing i m allergic to smoke!!!!

i see a parent hitting his/her kid... (i saw this happen once at a bus stop n i was so angry i fought with this parent)

i see people spitting after eating paan

people want me to do things i have refused to do.. its damn irritating

someone ditches his/her girlfriend/boyfriend without communicating the reasons...ok guys people might want to move on but if u had a relationship atleast have the courtesy to say bye...

unpunctual people (gets on my nerves)

people take me for granted

small kids begging on the roads

people using their clout to move ahead in a queue at a temple

people who say women cant drive...(lol i cant but i know loads who can... so chill guys)

nri's saying they hate india

delhiites saying they r better off than mumbaites ;)

oh n last but not the least.... anonymouse harassing sebia n keshi...
